I got into The Smiths when I was about 14. At the time I felt very alone and it was bands like The Smiths and Placebo that soothed my heart a little. They let me know that it was alright to be different and to feel desperately alone. This song is particularly beautiful in that way. It is kind of soothing to hear this touching story of two desperate souls. I think a lot of the songs by The Smiths are like that and that is why I love them so much!
