Tiny Vessels
by Death Cab For Cutie
"This is the moment that you know
That you told her that you loved her
But you don't.
You touch her skin and then you think
'Yeah, she is beautiful,
But she don't mean a thing to me.'"

I was listening to this earlier in the car. I got the album due to a relationship I was in at the time. And so I think the whole album holds a sentimental value to me. After it ended... and I suppose every other romantic encounter I have had... I have imagined that this is basically the thought that they had... that this song kind of encapsulates my life so far.

It's a really beautiful song though. Ben Gibbard's lyrics are always absolutely poetic... and they have a certain quality to them that makes them so much more hard-hitting. I imagine partly it's the use of quite vulgar words in conjunction with romantic images.

This link probably isn't the best for sound quality... but I feel no shame in admitting that I only picked it for the Lost link. Yeah, I'm a Lostie. And for the record, I hate Jack. And Tom <3>
Listen to it here

EDIT: I actually also hate Kate. John Locke, Benjamin Linus and Daniel Farraday are Gods, on the other hand. There are no nice Lost women. They all get on my nerves.
